Singer Sri Lanka and Sony launch new OLED and 4K HDR TV Series Refined picture quality and enhanced user experience

 Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC, the country’s premier consumer durables retailer, together with Sony International, launched OLED and 4K HDR Television Seriesalong with the MASTER series: A9F and Z9F Television series at an exclusive event held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo recently. The new television series is designed to deliver enhanced contrast, colour and clarity. The A8F and X9000F series are the newest options to enjoy refined 4K HDR picture quality thanks to Sony’s proprietary innovations. Building on the 4K HDR OLED TV technology that Sony introduced in 2017 under the BRAVIA range innovations, Sony expands the BRAVIA OLED line-up to deliver cutting-edge premium OLED TVs to a wider audience. The new A8F series inherits Sony’s unique 4K HDR picture processor-X1 Extreme, and the Acoustic Surface technology to give not only high visual quality but awe-inspiring sound.

As an OLED TV, the A8F series produces an incredibly detailed picture with deep blacks, rich and realistic colours and an exceptionally wide viewing angle. Sony’s more than half a century worth of picture processing expertise lends to precise control of the 8 million OLED pixels for a stunning realization of an unparalleled 4K HDR picture, while Acoustic Surface technology allows the sound to come from the screen, creating an entertainment experience with a beautiful picture.

In parallel, Sony has expanded the TV line-up to meet the increasing customer demands for a wider variety of large screen premium 4K HDR televisions. The new X9000F series, equipped with the X1 Extreme processor, will be available in 85’’, 75’’, 65’’, 55’’ and 49’’ class.

Both the A8F and the X9000F series will support Dolby Vision, the HDR format from Dolby Laboratories. It creates an even more immersive, engaging cinematic experience with striking highlights, deeper darks and vibrant colours.

In addition they launched the new A9F and Z9F series arrived as the MASTER Series – a name Sony reserves exclusively for its highest picture quality TV models. Having developed and followed a very strict set of product evaluation criteria by its most experienced picture quality engineers, Sony is confident the flagship MASTER Series delivers the highest quality picture possible in a home setting.From 4K film, video and still cameras, to game consoles, mobile phones and televisions like the MASTER Series, Sony is the only consumer electronics manufacturer capable of providing 4K solutions to consumers “from the lens to the living room”.

Both the A9F and Z9F MASTER Series models come equipped with a newly developed, next-generation Picture Processor X1 Ultimate. The X1 Ultimate Picture Processor can intelligently detect and analyze each object in the picture through Sony’s new Object-based Super Resolution for exceptional accuracy and detail. Using Android TV Hands-free Voice Search function on both the Android 8.0 Oreo-equipped A9F and Z9F will be even easier to browse through channels and functions. Both models have built-in microphones that allow you to simply speak to the TV to find what you quickly want, or ask it to play TV shows, movies, and more. With Android TV Hands-free Voice Search, there’s no more complicated navigation or tiresome typing necessary.
