
Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd recently had the special honor of hosting distinguished executives from Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC). Mr. Atsuhiro Okamoto (The former president of Toyota Motor Corporation Philippines), Senior Project General Manager, Ms. Wakana Takagishi, Project General Manager of the Mobility Planning Department, and Mr. Nobuhiko Murakami, Chairman of TTC, were among the delegation members.
The management and employees of Toyota Lanka extended a warm welcome to Mr. Murakami and his team during their inaugural visit. Toyota Lanka’s operational excellence and customer service initiatives were effectively showcased during the visit.
Reflecting on the visit, Mr. Nobuhiko Murakami, Chairman of Toyota Tsusho Corporation expressed his admiration for Toyota Lanka’s steadfast dedication to upholding Toyota’s global standards in Sri Lanka. “Toyota Lanka has shown a remarkable commitment to providing Sri Lankan Toyota owners top-notch sales and servicing. It is encouraging to see the company’s dedication to expansion and innovation as the market continues to recover and expand,” he stated.
Comprehensive tours of Toyota Lanka’s key facilities were included in the visit, including the company’s headquarters, main service facilities, and the Toyota Lanka Fulfilment Centre, which manages the delivery of motor oil and spare parts throughout the island. The TTC team was able to observe first-hand the effectiveness and customer-focused philosophy that are ingrained in Toyota Lanka’s operations through their visit.
Mr. Murakami further noted, “The team at Toyota Lanka exemplifies the Toyota spirit with their dedication and professionalism. We have faith that Toyota Lanka will maintain its position as a leader in the industry and expand the reach of the Toyota name in the region.”
Mr. Manohara Atukorala, Managing Director / CEO at Toyota Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, also shared thoughts on the visit, stating, “It was a privilege to have Mr. Murakami and his team visit Toyota Lanka. This visit confirmed Toyota Lanka’s unwavering commitment to providing mobility solutions that surpass customer expectations, especially as Sri Lanka’s automotive market picks up steam since the import ban was eased.
