Mark and Comm Ltd, a leading reputation and communications agency based in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Public Relations and Communications Association Asia Pacific (PRCA APAC), will host a regional webinar titled “PR in the Age of Disruption” on the 28th of April 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM IST via Zoom.
Part of Mark and Comm’s The Collab Room, the webinar brings together leading APAC voices in communications. “As the communications landscape evolves at breakneck speed, it’s vital that we don’t just react to disruption—but lead through it. This session reflects our commitment to connecting Sri Lanka and the wider APAC region with global insights, real-world experience, and a collaborative mindset to shape the future of PR,” said Thanzyl Thajudeen, Director of Mark and Comm Ltd and PRCA APAC Board Member and Country Rep for Sri Lanka.
The webinar will open with guest remarks from Ed Burleigh, Head of PRCA APAC and Founder and CEO of Reverb Marketing and Thanzyl Thajudeen. These opening remarks will set the stage for a keynote presentation by Jeremy Seow, Regional COO and Head of Client Experience, APAC at Allison, and Chair of PRCA APAC.
Jeremy’s address, titled “The PR Industry of Tomorrow: What’s Changing and Why It Matters,” will explore the shifting expectations of clients, the rise of new work models, and how communications professionals must adopt predictive analytics and integrated approaches to remain relevant. He will emphasize that success in the future will depend on agility, collaboration, and innovation, with a strong call to action for PR practitioners to take an active role in shaping the industry’s direction rather than merely responding to change.
A panel discussion will follow, moderated by Ed Burleigh, featuring Jeremy Seow alongside two other regional leaders in PR who are also board members of PRCA APAC: Maureen Tseng, Managing Director of Southeast Asia at The Hoffman Agency, and Maxim Behar, CEO and Chairman of the Board of M3 Communications Group, Inc. The discussion will explore the evolution of public relations in the digital-first era, the skills and technologies now indispensable to the profession, and the impact of global instability and cultural complexity on PR strategy and practice.
The panelists will also provide practical insights on building authenticity, measuring PR effectiveness through data, and the tools that modern-day professionals must embrace to stay relevant in a rapidly shifting communications environment.
The webinar aims to engage in high-level regional discourse, gain future-ready insights, and explore how the industry must evolve to stay relevant. At a time when the lines between PR, digital, media, and creative are becoming increasingly blurred, the session will delve into how professionals can embrace integrated storytelling, real-time audience engagement, and emerging technologies such as AI, data analytics, and social listening platforms.
It will also address the critical need for trust and authenticity in an environment increasingly saturated with misinformation and AI-generated content, while highlighting the growing importance of cross-cultural communication and the skills needed to operate in a borderless media world.
The Collab Room initiative is part of Mark and Comm’s ongoing commitment to connect local practitioners with international best practices and elevating the Asia-Pacific PR and communications industry by creating platforms for dialogue, collaboration, and professional growth.
