Sri Lanka Badminton (SLB) has named four aspiring female shuttlers for the upcoming Victor Cyprus Junior 2025, which is set to take place at the Evangelos Folorakis Sports Hall in Nicosia, Cyprus from April 25 to 27.

The shuttlers are Amaya Nawaratne, Abhimani Padma Bandara, Achini Gamage and Devmi Nawaratne, who have been impressive at the recent domestic tournaments sanctioned by SLB. All four of them will enter the Women’s Under-19 Singles in search of a podium finish.

Amaya Nawaratne and Abhimani Padma Bandara will also pair up to compete in the Women’s Under-19 Doubles, while also competing in the Singles. The four shuttlers representing Sri Lanka, between the ages of 14 and 18, are expected to gain valuable international exposure, an important aspect adopted by SLB in the recent times.

The team, approved by the Sport Ministry, will be accompanied by coach Chameera Bandara and lady chaperon Upuli Nawaratne. The contingent is expected to leave the island on April 22 and return on April 28.
