A delegation from The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB), led by its President Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA, actively participated in the Pre-Budget discussion for the financial year 2025-2026. The session took place on 11 March 2025, at the National Board of Revenue (NBR), Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
The discussion was presided over by Mr. Md. Abdur Rahman Khan FCMA, Chairman of NBR and Secretary of the Internal Resources Division, Ministry of Finance. During the session, Mr. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed FCMA presented an insightful overview of various proposals aimed at enhancing revenue collection by introducing taxes in previously untapped areas. His presentation highlighted key strategies that have the potential to significantly boost the country’s revenue.
