Colombo, 03 March 2025 – Evolution Auto, a trailblazer in Sri Lanka’s electric vehicle (EV) space, proudly celebrated sporting excellence and sustainability as the Gold Sponsor of the 95th Battle of the Maroons. Ananda College’s Dinada Athalage etched his name in history with a brilliant 131-run innings, the fourth-highest individual score in the series since its inception in 1924. His extraordinary feat earned him the Man of the Match title, along with the cutting-edge Ather electric bike.
The three-day match, held at the SSC Grounds from 28 February to 2 March, ended in a draw – marking the 76th stalemate in the series. Ananda College declared their first innings at 324/6, while Nalanda College responded with 325/6, securing a narrow one-run lead. Ananda managed 27/1 in their second innings before time ran out.
