Director MD Fahad has been honored with the Best Director award at the Babisas Awards 2023-2024 by the Bangladesh Entertainment Journalists Association (Babisas). The award was presented at a grand ceremony held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation. He received the award for his outstanding work in the Drama category.
Legendary actress Anwara Begum presented the award to Md Fahad, while ATN Bangla’s broadcast and program advisor Tashik Ahmed was a special guest. The event was chaired by Abul Hossain Majumder.
In his acceptance speech, Md Fahad expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am deeply honored and delighted. Ultimately, it is the audience who are the true judges of a drama. I dedicate this recognition to them and vow to continue striving for better work in the future.”
At the same event, several notable personalities were honored. Legendary film personalities Anwara Begum, Ashraf Uddin Ahmed Ujjal, and Ferdous Ara were conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Special recognition was given to film industry figures Rozina, Rubel, and Tashik Ahmed. Other recipients included actors and personalities like D. A. Tayeb, Mamun Hasan Emon, Nirob Hossain, Joy Chowdhury, Siam Ahmed, Shiba Sanu, Rashed Mamun Apu, Khaled Hossain Chowdhury, Golam Kibria Tanvir, Romana Islam Mukti, Shabnam Bubli, Shabnam Parveen, Arpana Rani Rajbanshi, and Bobby Hock.
In music, special awards were presented to artists like Monir Khan, Robi Chowdhury, Ethun Babu, Baby Najnin, Dolly Shanti, and Tasiba Begum for their significant contributions.
