International Trade Shows for Building & Construction, Wood & Woodworking and Electrical Expo Started

ASK Int'l Expo Event--2025 (LBN)

The 8th edition of the international exhibition showcasing the latest advancements in building infrastructure, wood, furniture, and the electrical sectors started. Organized jointly by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd and Futurex Trade Fair and Events Pvt. Ltd, the exhibition was inaugurated this morning at Bashundhara International Convention City (ICCB). The event features participation from nearly 100 companies of national and overseas companies, displaying over thousand products.

 



 

The inauguration ceremony took place on 23 January 2025, Thursday in ICCB’s newly intoduced ‘Expo Village’. The event was graced by the presence of Engr. Mohammad Abu Sadeque, Executive Director of the Centre for Housing and Building Research (HBRC) as the Chief Guest and MM Jasim Uddin, Chief Operating Officer of ICCB as the Special Guest. Representatives from various organizations, including Nandagopal K and Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, respectively the Director and Managing Director of ASK also attended the ceremony.

With the inauguration of today’s event organized by ASK Trade and Futurex Event, ICCB’s ‘Expo Village’ was officially launched. The Expo Village, Bangladesh’s largest commercial expo tent with fully air-conditioned facility is equipped with modern amenities, including advanced security and parking arrangements, capable of accommodating over 10,000 visitors at a time.

ASK Trade has been organizing the International Expo for the past eight years, showcasing global technologies and materials in the construction and related industries. This year’s edition, supported by Safeway Group, includes three separate exhibitions: the 8th International Building and Construction Industry Trade Show, ‘Bangladesh Buildcon Expo 2025’; the 8th International ‘Bangladesh Wood Expo 2025’; and the 3rd International Electrical Trade Show, ‘Bangladesh ElproTech Expo 2025’. Collectively, these exhibitions bring together approximately 100 companies from around the world, showcasing over a thousand products. Hence, the exhibition is allowing visitors to have the unique opportunity to explore thousands of world-class building and construction, wooden and electrical products and its cutting-edge technology from numerous domestic and international exhibitors under one roof.

Highlighting the need for continuous research in the building and construction sector to achieve sustainable development, Chief Guest Mohammad Abu Sadeque remarked, “There is no alternative to ensure sustainable development other than improving product quality. Exhibitions like this play a vital role in research and help to enhance the product quality. Additionally, domestic companies get an opportunity to compare their products with world-class standards through this exhibitions.”

As the special guest, M.M. Jasim Uddin said, “Foreign investment is essential for the industrial development of Bangladesh. Bringing together all major export companies from China and other parts of the world under one roof will make the path to such investment even smoother. ICCB’s Expo Village is thus an innovative initiative that works for the nation’s interest and welfare.”

From the organizing body, Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan commented, “Through this exhibition, visitors can easily explore and select world-class products under one roof. At the same time, our event serves as an excellent opportunity for local companies to procure products from foreign suppliers.”

The exhibition features a wide range of materials related to construction, woodworking, and furniture, including architectural and building hardware, autoclaves, abrasive tools, flap discs, FRP manhole covers, and various electrical equipment such as fiber laser marking and cutting machines, CNC routers, and embroidery machines. The event also highlights the use of advanced technologies and their benefits across these industries.

The 8th Bangladesh Buildcon, Wood, and Elprotech Expo 2025 will remain open to the public every day from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
