First time in Bangladesh on Monday 18th November 2024, The Bangladesh-China Club started its journey to Bangladesh with a Grand Ceremony at The Westin Dhaka Grand Ballroom. This club will play a special role in developing Trade and Diplomacy between Bangladesh and China.
Md. Tohid Hossain, Honorable Foreign Advisor of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present as the chief guest at the event. Ambassador of Brunei Haji Haris bin Osman, President of UK-Bangladesh Catalyst Chamber of Commerce Industry, Iqbal Ahmed, Independent Director of Bank Asia Ashraful Haque Chowdhury, Sarah Lee, Executive Chairman, CIDBC, Government of China were present as special guests.
Shahjahan Bhuiyan Raju, President, Bangladesh-China Club Ltd., Jahangir Sikadar, Secretary, Bangladesh-China Club Ltd. and the leaders of the Executive Committee were also present at the event and inaugurated the Bangladesh-China Club Ltd. by cutting the cake. The club is located at House No-16/B, Road No. 93, Gulshan-2. The purpose of this club is to create a bridge of social, financial communication between the Chinese community living in Bangladesh and the community of Bangladesh.
Besides, the symbolic exchange between China and Bangladesh will be highlighted through the club. About five lakh Chinese citizens are engaged in various professions in Bangladesh. Chinese experts in various development projects of the Bangladesh government and Chinese investment in large institutions have played a major role in the development of Bangladesh. In the future, Bangladesh China Club Ltd. will play a special role in furthering this activity and in the material development of the Country.
