Ather Energy Debuts in Sri Lanka with Its First Experience Centre

Ather Energy, India’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially launched its first Experience Centre, Ather Space, on Maradana Road, Colombo. The centre showcases the revolutionary Ather 450X scooter, marking the company’s entry into the Sri Lankan market.

The launch is spearheaded by Evolution Auto (Pvt) Ltd., a joint venture between Atman Group and Sino Lanka Private Limited, which will serve as the national distributor for Ather Energy in Sri Lanka.

 



 
The event was attended by key representatives from Ather Energy, including Mr. Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer, and Mr. Gurinder Singh, Head of Sales, Service and Support. Also present were Mr. Bob Kundanmal, Chairman of Sino Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. Dhiren Kundanmal, Director of Sino Lanka (Pvt) Ltd., Mr. Nathan Sivagananathan, Director of Atman Group, and Mr. Ranjith Leon, Director of Atman Group.

The Ather 450 series boasts state-of-the-art technology, offering an unparalleled riding experience. Powered by a robust electric motor, the scooter achieves rapid acceleration and a top speed of 90 km/h. Key features include an intelligent dashboard with real-time diagnostics and navigation, extensive under-seat storage, regenerative braking, and fast-charging capabilities that enable an 80% charge in just 60 minutes.

The introduction of the Ather 450X represents a significant step toward promoting affordable and sustainable transportation in Sri Lanka. Evolution Auto (Pvt) Ltd. plans to establish a network of Ather Grid fast-charging stations across the country, making electric vehicle adoption more accessible and convenient.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Ravneet Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, expressed optimism about the company’s entry into the Sri Lankan market: “We are thrilled to open our first Experience Centre in Sri Lanka, where we are starting our sales with the Ather 450X.
