Rajib Moni Das has been honored with the “TRAB Award 2024” for Best Playwright. The Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) recognized him for his outstanding contributions as a lyricist, novelist, and playwright.
On Saturday, November 23, the 25th TRAB Award 2024 ceremony was held at a hotel in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, where Rajib Moni Das received this prestigious accolade. His telefilm “Mayer Ichchha” (Mother’s Wish), was highly acclaimed by both the audience and the judges for its compelling story, earning him the award for Best Playwright
Prominent personalities graced the event, including Syed Magurb Morshed, former Secretary of Information; Bir Muktijoddha Mir Hasmat Ali, Justice of the Bangladesh Supreme Court; Dr. Jahangir Alam Rustam, an eminent environmental scientist and world-renowned poet; Kamrul Hasan Darpan, President of BACHSAS; and Shafiqul Rahman, Chairman of BBN News, among others.
The award for Best Playwright was presented to Rajib Moni Das by acclaimed film personality Kazi Hayat, Syed Magurb Morshed, and Mir Hasmat Ali.
In his acceptance speech, Rajib Moni Das expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests and conveyed his heartfelt thanks. He remarked, “For those of us who write or produce dramas, it is always a dream to see our work recognized. This award sharpens the journey of that dream and will serve as inspiration for future endeavors.”
