Inovartic Investment Launches Groundbreaking Abu Dhabi University Graphene Centre in Partnership with SLINTEC

Colombo, Sri Lanka, November 2024 – Inovartic Investment Lanka Pvt Limited, a joint venture between Sri Lanka’s Apex Asia Holdings and UAE’s Inovartic Investment LLC, announced the launch of the Abu Dhabi University Graphene Centre – an advanced facility dedicated to pioneering research in graphene technology. This centre was inaugurated at Abu Dhabi University to drive scientific progress and international collaborations in nanotechnology, aligning with the UAE’s “Make It in the UAE” initiative. This ambitious project brings together Inovartic Investment, Abu Dhabi University, and the Sri Lanka Institute of Nano Technology (SLINTEC) to explore graphene applications across sectors, including electronics, medical devices, EV batteries, water treatment, agriculture, materials science, and energy.
 



 
Commenting on the launch, Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University – Professor Ghassan Aouad, stated: “We are excited to launch the Abu Dhabi University Graphene Centre, which will play a crucial role in advancing graphene research and its applications. This initiative not only strengthens our commitment to innovation but also positions Abu Dhabi under the leadership vision as a leader in nanotechnology research.”

His Excellency Udaya Indrarathna, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the UAE, and key figures from Inovartic Investment, including Saif Al Darmaki, Chairman & Co-Founder of Inovartic Investment, Daham Arangalla, Regional Partner of Inovartic Investment and Co-Founder & Partner at Inovartic Investment Lanka, and Shawn Gajasinghe, Chairman of Apex Asia Holdings and Co-Founder & Partner at Inovartic Investment Lanka. Joining them were SLINTEC CEO, Tushara Vajera Perera and Dr. Nuwan Silva, Senior Principal Scientist. Their combined presence underscored the collaborative commitment to pushing the boundaries of nanotechnology and scientific exchange.

Speaking on the groundbreaking launch, His Excellency Udaya Indrarathna, Sri Lankan Ambassador to the UAE“The establishment of the Abu Dhabi University Graphene Centre represents a significant step forward in scientific collaboration between Sri Lanka and the UAE.
