DIMO, a leading diversified conglomerate in Sri Lanka, successfully concluded its second “DIMO Care Camp” tractor servicing programme assisting farmers as they begin preparations for the forthcoming ‘Maha’ season.

Recognizing that well-maintained agricultural machinery plays a vital role in ensuring efficiency and quality of farming activities, DIMO uniquely extended its DIMO Care Camp to include tractors of any make and model, free of charge. Opening this service camp to any tractor or model company is expected to make a positive impact on the larger community in the agriculture sector. This year’s DIMO Care Camp covered key agricultural areas such as Batticaloa, Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Mannar, Trincomalee, Anuradhapura, Kurunegala, and Polonnaruwa.

Farmers who attended the camp were able to enjoy a range of benefits such as free inspections, minor repairs, and exclusive discounts on spare parts for their tractors. In addition, DIMO also offered special deals on tractor tires and DIMO Lumin light bulbs. Along with this, the company also provided a complimentary health clinic, which offered services such as blood pressure and BMI checks, to help farmers maintain their wellbeing as they prepare for the season.

Mr. Mahesh Karunaratne, Chief Operating Officer (Automated Engineering Solutions) at DIMO said, “To conduct a successful camp this year, we prioritized regions with high tractor usage. Our goal was to ensure that we gave the opportunity to as many farmers as possible to prepare their machinery for the season. We understand the significance of the season, and we are more than happy to provide these essential services to farmers from across the country.”

DIMO is the authorized distributor for leading tractor brands such as Mahindra and Swaraj. The company has established an expert aftersales service where highly skilled technicians handle repairs and maintenance of tractors. With its expertise in tractors, the company is expected to facilitate local farmers through this DIMO Care Camp while elevating agriculture mechanization in Sri Lanka. The DIMO Care Camp is one of many programs designed to support local farmers while fuelling the dreams and aspirations of the farming community and contributing to the advancement of the agriculture industry.
