ACCA Sri Lanka Celebrates First Successful Diploma Certificate Awarding Ceremony

ACCA Sri Lanka recently celebrated a major milestone with its its first successful ACCA Diploma Certificate Awarding Ceremony. This landmark event brought together students, educators, and industry professionals to recognize and celebrate the achievements of the Diploma Holders.
 



 

The ceremony underscored ACCA’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of finance and accounting professionals in Sri Lanka and showcased the crucial role of the ACCA qualification in equipping students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the global business landscape.

A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the ACCA Diploma in “Accounting and Business” to students from five Gold Approved Learning Providers in Sri Lanka. The awards were prominently won by students from Achievers Lanka Business School, Alpha Business School, and Premier Partners Institute of Management (PPIM), with Online Accounting.lk and Wisdom Business Academy also celebrating their diploma recipients. This success is a testament to the high-quality education and mentorship provided by these institutions.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Member Network Panel, Chairman Chaaminda Kumarasiri shared ACCA’s mission with our future members and stressed the significance of completing the ACCA qualification. ACCA member Rakitha Jayatunge also shared his ACCA journey, highlighting how the qualification has been instrumental in achieving his career goals, offering valuable insights for students to align with ACCA’s standards.

Nilusha Ranasinghe, ACCA Head of South Asia, delivered closing remarks, focusing on the benefits of becoming an ACCA Member and encouraging students to take the next steps without delay. The event underscored our commitment to advancing the accounting profession and provided an overview of the pathways and study support resources ACCA offers to ensure the professional success of our future members.

The ceremony celebrated the students’ achievements while also emphasizing ACCA’s crucial role in shaping the future of finance and accounting professionals in Sri Lanka. Supported by its network of Approved Learning Providers, ACCA Sri Lanka remains instrumental in cultivating the country’s talent pool and equipping students to tackle the challenges of a rapidly evolving global economy.
