Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmood MP, Inaugurated the first Foreign Service Academy Journal, Uniform Website and Smart Library at the Foreign Service Academy, Dhaka on 03 July 2024 Wednesday.
Minister of Foreign Affairs in the speech of the chief guest. Hasan Mahmood, MP hailed the inauguration of Foreign Service Academy Journal and Smart Library as a timely step. He hoped that the inauguration of the Smart Library would play an important role in enhancing the knowledge base of the trainees of the Foreign Service Academy and the officers of the Ministry of External Affairs.
Foreign Service Academy Rector Ambassador Mashfi Binte Shams gave background on the ongoing development activities of the Academy. Reiterated his commitment to transform the Foreign Service Academy into a world-class institution.
The publication of the first Foreign Service Academy Journal will further strengthen the link between academia and professional diplomacy. Various important issues of foreign policy including bilateral and multilateral relations of Bangladesh have been included in it. The Foreign Service Academy is committed to further enhancing the caliber and quality of this journal in the future.
In keeping with the vision of Smart Bangladesh 2041 of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the inauguration of Smart Library is a firm step of Foreign Service Academy on the path of Smart Bangladesh. This library incorporates state-of-the-art technology. All the steps from the collection of books from the library to the return of books have been brought under automation. Members of this library from any part of the world will have access to books, journals, newspapers and other intellectual resources.
Besides, the website of the Foreign Service Academy has been updated in line with the national data transmission. Information updates and pictorial reports of various activities of the Foreign Service Academy are attached to the website.
Apart from various level officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, former ambassadors and other distinguished guests were present in the event.
