The State Minister made these remarks in his chief guest speech at the closing ceremony of the “7th DRMC International Tech Carnival 2024” organized by the Department of Information and Communication Technology at Dhaka Residential Model College on Sunday, 12 May 2024.
State Minister Palak said that for future research and innovation, in addition to the students of these institutions, small innovators and researchers from other institutions in Bangladesh will also get research opportunities in these centers. We want to move forward with a whole of government approach to build a smart Bangladesh of the future. Where no one is left behind. We want to make every one of our young generation equal opportunities and creative and innovative smart citizens. He said that in order to create smart citizens in smart Bangladesh, it is not only in the textbooks, but we have to open the doors that are open for acquiring knowledge.
The state minister challenged the students and said, I want a gift from you for one of my digital twins from this International Tech Carnival next year. The digital twins you create. Which should look like a wink, will speak in a wink’s voice and answer any question as an AI brain.
Apart from this, the freedom fighter martyr Shaheed Sheikh Jamal will be sponsored in Innovation Grand every year from the state minister idea project and 50 lakh rupees will be paid every year for organizing large-scale events, he said.
Brigadier General Kazi Shamim Farhad, principal of Dhaka Residential Model College, spoke among others, IDEA project director Mohammad Anwar Hossain, chief coordinator associate professor Mohammad Noorunnabi, assistant professor and carnival convener Russell Ahmed.
Earlier, an agreement was signed between IDEA Project and Dhaka Residential Model College in the presence of Minister of State for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak to work on innovation development.
