September 21, 2022: Sri Lanka’s innovative technology company, 99x was recognized as a Best Workplace in Asia by Great Place to Work Institute for the fifth consecutive year. 99x has won this award since 2018 for its ability to be a supportive life-partner to its employees, placing it in the Top 100 small and medium-sized businesses in Asia.

Over 3.3 million employees from 16 countries in Asia and the Middle East participated in the region’s most extensive study of employee experiences, which aimed to identify the Best Workplaces in the region. Only 14 SME companies were chosen from Sri Lanka after assessments over the previous two years, including 99x. One key reason behind achieving this recognition for five continuous years is a testament to 99x’s global HR practices. 99x is also expanding its workforce to several Asian markets in terms of hiring while creating an inclusive work environment.

“Throughout the years we have seen that delighted employees produce positive business outcomes. We believe that by taking care of our employees first, our customers will be taken care of as well. This was demonstrated in 2020 when the pandemic hit. We carried on as usual, thanks to our workplace culture of putting people first. We are so pleased to be listed once more. To be ranked on these indices by the Great Place to Work Institute is a brand-new milestone for us every year. Our greatest asset will always be our employees and over the years, we have strived to take every measure to create a workplace culture that fuels our people’s passion, providing an environment that unlocks their full potential.” said Mano Sekaram, Founder and CEO of 99x.

The Great Place to Work Institute uses their Trust Index survey to gather employee opinions of their work experience to evaluate workplace culture.

Sekaram also added, “These ratings further measure 99x’s capacity to earn the trust of our employees and create a culture driven by meaningful values, effective leaders, and the intent to maximize human potential. These critical metrics should be taken into account by anyone considering working for or conducting business with 99x as an indicator of a high-performance culture.”

The business has been recognized as a Best Workplace for Women in Sri Lanka and a Best IT/ITeS Workplace in Sri Lanka this year.

Headquartered in Norway, with offices in Oslo and Colombo, 99x is a product engineering company co-creating well-engineered, innovative digital products for the Scandinavian market. Its expertise has been proven through a portfolio of over 150 impactful global digital products developed since 2004, together with leading Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). 99x employs over 450 technology and product specialists, who are high achievers, creative thinkers, and team players.
