A three-day long International Flight Safety Seminar jointly organized by Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has been started on Monday 21October 2024 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, OSP, NPP, ndc, ncc, psc inaugurated the seminar as the Chief Guest. The main objective of this seminar is to exchange views and experiences on safe flight planning and management, reduction of risk and overall improvement of the aviation safety standard. The theme of the seminar is ‘Promoting Flight Safety by Embracing Technological Advancements’.
The chief guest expressed his deepest appreciation to Bangladesh Air Force and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh for organizing this international seminar. He has also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the participants from friendly air forces as well as aviation professionals of Bangladesh. As the world has witnessed tremendous advancement in technology, so he expressed that this seminar would contribute to meet challenges of maintaining and enhancing flight safety is an increasingly complex environment. He expressed hope that the discussion during different sessions would not only explore the potentiality of advance technologies, but also would help to implement them effectively while ensuring the safety. He wished that the seminar would be a great success through lively participation and experience sharing.
Besides, the representatives of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), Air Force representatives of 13 countries namely Bahrain, China, Kenya, Indonesia, Myanmar, Maldives, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Russia, Saudi Arabia, USA and Zimbabwe participated in the seminar. Representatives from Ministry of Defense, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Armed Forces Division (AFD), Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd, MIST and other civil airlines of Bangladesh are also participating in the seminar. Mentionable that, this International seminar will end on 23 October 2024.
