7th International Flight Safety Seminar 2024 Concludes in Dhaka

The 7th International Flight Safety Seminar, organized by Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, successfully concluded on 23 October 2024 Wednesday at Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka. The seminar, themed “Promoting Flight Safety by Embracing Technological Advancements,” highlighted the importance of modernizing aviation safety protocols in the face of rapid technological change.
 



 

Chief of Air Staff of Bangladesh Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, BBP, OSP, GUP, nswc, psc attended the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and awarded certificates among the recipients. In his closing remarks, the Chief Guest expressed deep homage to those who sacrificed their lives in recent mass uprising and emphasizing that their courage inspires the BAF in its duties. He reiterated the national responsibility to maintain a modern and professional air force, equipped with advanced platforms and equipment. The Chief Guest in his speech mentioned that owing to the rapid technological advancements today’s airmen, technicians and personnel related to aviation industry are exposed to an array of demanding challenges. He expressed that as the aviation industry continues to evolve, embracing technological advancements is crucial in promoting flight safety.

The Chief Guest acknowledged that the valuable discussions and insights exchanged over the seminar would foster stronger connections among aviation communities worldwide. He applauded the active participation of international delegates, emphasizing the benefits of shared experiences in promoting flight safety. The Chief Guest concluded with best wishes for safe flights in the years ahead, reaffirming the commitment to flight safety as a cornerstone of aviation operations.

Besides Bangladesh Air Force and CAAB, Air Force representatives of 13 countries namely Bahrain, China, Kenya, Indonesia, Myanmar, Maldives, Pakistan, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Russia, Saudi Arabia, USA and Zimbabwe took part in the seminar. Representatives from Ministry of Defense, Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Armed Forces Division (AFD), Bangladesh Police, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Biman Bangladesh Airlines Ltd, MIST and major civil airlines of Bangladesh participated in the seminar.

This seminar not only marked an important milestone in the pursuit of aviation safety but also initiated ongoing collaboration among global air forces, paving the way for enhanced safety practices in the aviation industry.

Mentionable that, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, OSP, NPP, ndc, ncc, psc inaugurated the seminar as the chief guest on 21 October 2024.
